Prepare a favorite food --

Think of a favorite food that you might enjoy preparing. Consult a cookbook if you need help with procedures or ingredients. If you are under 16 and will be using a stove, oven or grill, get an adult to help you. Offering to clean up afterwards might get the adult to agree to help.

Here is a list of a few foods that you might enjoy preparing: spaghetti, chili, potato salad, party mix(with Chex cereal), pizza, bread, pie, corn on the cob(can be done in the husk and on the grill for a unique flavor), stew, fruit cake, raisin oatmeal cookies and banana nut bread.

It is difficult to make bread that has the texture of that from a bakery. It also takes a good deal of time and effort. But you can add flavoring of your choosing such as raisins, nuts, sunflower seeds, celery seed or garlic. Many people consider it well worth the effort.
