cube bubbles
Bend soft wire into a three dimensional outline of a cube.
Make each edge about one inch long. Tie a thread to the
structure. Hold the thread to dip the form into a container of
soap solution. Use about one part dish detergent and eight
parts water. Try breaking a film surface to change existing
surfaces into a different design.
Very thin wire is easiest to work with. The wire from small
paper clips will do if pliers are used. Copper wire is easy
to bend. Mixing a dark shade of a water based paint with the
solution makes it easier to see the intersections of the soap
film. Dunk the cube up and down until you see all of the
several ways the soap film will cover the wire frame.
