With a string hang a heavy
weight from a structure such as
is shown. The weight should be
somewhat the same mass as the
structure. The smooth bottom
base rests on two round pencils,
dowel rods or such things.
Swing the weight in the
direction of the length of the base.
The base will roll back and
forth in time with the weight
but will always be moving in
the opposite direction.
